Marbella Flores, a sophomore at East L.A. College, secured sixth place in the women's 5-kilometer race in 18:02.4 at the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional Championships at El Dorado Regional Park in Long Beach. Flores, who finished 35th in the 2021 regional championship meet representing L.A. Harbor College, advanced to the state final Nov. 18 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
