Jesse Alvarado, a sophomore at Mt. San Antonio College, won the men's individual title at the California Community College Athletic Association Southern Regional championship meet at Kern County Soccer Park in Bakersfield. Alvarado covered the 4-mile layout in 19:28.83 to help Mt. SAC finish second overall with 74 points and advance to the Nov. 19 state final at Woodward Park in Fresno.
